Math Teacher software

MATH-TEACHER software makes the teaching and learning of mathematics as easy as mathematics can get! Mathematics builds progressively from concept to concept. MATH-TEACHER helps students understand each concept before moving on to the next. Each lesson first presents the concepts and an infinite number of sample problems. The interactive tutorial requires no pencils and paper! No multiple choice or fill in the blank, MATH-TEACHER understands every step of a student's solution! Students type symbolic expressions in a free-style format, MATH-TEACHER analyzes each line and indicates whether it is correct or not. This analysis detects common mistakes and provides focused help. The process repeats until the answer is reached. MATH-TEACHER perceives the proficiency of the student and generates problems accordingly. The interactive tutorial requires no pencils and paper! Each module covers 1 to 1.5 years of mathematical concepts. The Customization Utility allows the instructor to fine tune and control the tutorial and on-screen tests. The timed On-screen Tests display all problems so the student can choose the one to answer next (duration, difficulty and scope can be customized).

The Problems Generator for Printed Tests prints problems with and without answers, as homework or as hardcopy tests. The step-by-step answers are complete with explanations, charts, figures, graphs, and tables.
The Calculator provided in MATH-TEACHER is designed to work with algebraic expressions. Rational expressions yield both rational and the approximate real results. Student scores are collected automatically to simplify record keeping.
These unique features make MATH-TEACHER the private tutor of each student!

MATH-TEACHER offers two utility programs for teachers:

Program for Generating and Printing tests and the Customization Program.
Problem Generator for Printed Tests
This program is a helpful tool for teachers to prepare off-line tests and homework for their students. The teacher determines the mathematical topic, the number of problems and their difficulty. The program generates automatically a required set of problems based on these criteria. The teacher can browse the list and print it out. A certain option allows the teacher to print out the detailed answers on a separate sheet. The task of checking the students' work is easier!! Alternatively, the teacher can give the answers to the students and ask them to self-check their work.
The same set of problems can serve as a prototype from which several different tests that have the same degree of difficulty can be generated and printed. The problems are not drawn from a static data base, but rather generated at random at run time.
Clearly, this program is not just a mathematical text editor, but rather, a sophisticated tool that can save much effort and hours of work while preparing tests and homework.
The following example shows how to prepare a test in Calculus - Integrals, on "Calculating Area and Volume" topic. The teacher chooses how many problems from each Level (1-3) will be included in the test. In this case, one problem from the first two levels, and two problems from the last level.

Now the teacher can preview the generated test on the screen: Finally, these are the printout of the 4 problems and their answers-
The Customization Utility
Unlike the Generator of Printed Test program, this utility is not a stand-alone program; It helps the teacher to adjust the tutorial program to the level of the students and their capability. Examples of parameters are the number of problems that the student is required to solve before proceeding to the next level, and the minimal grade. Other parameters control the difficulty of the on-line test: The number of problems in a test, the composition of the test and the test duration.

Skills for Success...!!

Can you visualize a world where students can play football and be educated at the same time? His is no longer a vision in our minds rather a reality in practice with Skills for Success program. Skills for Success engage pupils to a point where they have so much fun that they forget that they are learning. It is designed to be fun and educational for every child regardless of ability. Questions can be answered in as much time as needed so that the child does not rush into answering, and thus gets the right answer.
It’s a new and comprehensive way to get your children to learn while having fun. Who would have guessed that gaming could have so many benefits?

still not convinced, then take an indepth tour of the software:

educational software

'Mario Teaches Typing' is a video game designed to teach typing skills to children. it was published and developed by interplay and officially licensed by nintendo for windows in 1991 and for MAC in 1995. The game became an instant hit with parents and children alike, as not only did it provide the basics, understanding and techniques to efficeintly master typing but it conveyed it in a video game setting which appealed tremendously to children. Subsequently, a sequel was released in 1997 and like its predecessor it took the market by storm once more. In it, Mario and Luigi must recover the pieces of a magical typewriter that was destroyed when Mario incorrectly typed in a message that would destroy Bowser's castle. Players select a placement test (which is scored based upon speed and accuracy) or participate in lessons given either in a sequence or individually. The gameplay though a little repetitive at times, however still manages to adjust new users of a computer and keyboard adequate reaction time to become familar with typing before the difficulty increases. Also, there are numerous rewards incentives; including a customizable certificate of achievement, color coded on-screen keyboard and flexible lesson plans to keep new users coming back over and over again...
But in all i spoke enough about it..if you still think you want to get a good feel and insight of the game just check the links i've attached below...lataaz(w)
